COLORS
OF TIME

  25 YEARS LATER

It has been a long journey since the early days of Bonhomme Setter. After entertaining the streets of St-Jean as street musicians, filling the walls of the old pub Le Troubadour, and wandering through the festivities of Fêtes de la Nouvelle-France, immortalizing our creations on several albums, and traveling through Maine, a region passionate about Celtic culture, we realize how fortunate we are to celebrate our 25th anniversary today. Certainly, we're not 20 anymore ;-) but the desire to create unique music is still there. Over time, we've harmonized with many accomplices who, each in their own way, have added colors to the sound of Bonhomme Setter. Continuously stirred by old memories, we are grateful to have had the collaboration of many for the creation of our fifth album, "Colours of Time." We hope you will enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed imagining it, creating it, and perfecting it.

AS SEEN IN TRAD CONNECT

"Bonhomme Setter have created a remarkable big band sound wrapped around some very traditional tunes.  Their big arrangements pack quite a punch ; all of the instrumental tracks have this powerful percussive beat with some really imaginative arrangements. You get a clever, entertaining and extremely well delivered album of traditional music with a very modern edge.  Highly recommended."

MUSIC

The four musicians bring together their creativity and finesse to offer original melodies and arrangements influenced by their prior musical experience; in effect, the interest of the flute player and the guitarist for traditional music and progressive rock, the string players’ experience in the world of classical and early music and the bass player’s passion for jazz, rock and Quebec folklore colour the group’s unique repertoire.
